On June 12, 2025, the opening ceremony of the 2025 Tsinghua Amgen Scholars Program & Summer School Program was successfully held in Room E109 of the Biomedical Hall.
Supported by the Amgen Foundation, this global program gives undergraduate students unique summer research opportunities. Since becoming a host university in 2018, Tsinghua has built a strong reputation for delivering an outstanding scholar experience.
This summer, 12 selected scholars will spend eight weeks immersed in research across Tsinghua's campus. The program's collaboration with the Summer School continues this year, setting the stage for what promises to be a dynamic season of discovery and cross-disciplinary exchange. We can't wait to see what these bright minds will achieve together!
At the opening ceremony, Lyv Xiaojie, Deputy Director of Tsinghua's Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, extended warm congratulations on the program's launch and gave a heartfelt welcome to the 12 selected scholars. She creatively used the Chinese character "藥" (medicine) and Tsinghua's iconic motto "Shui Mu Tsinghua" to spark the students' interest in Chinese culture and campus life.
Highlighting Tsinghua's vibrant community of over 3,000 international students, She encouraged the scholars to fully immerse themselves during the two-month program. "May this experience help you uncover your potential and chart your future path," she said, expressing hopes that everyone would gain meaningful insights from both the research program and international summer school activities.
