Wang Xiqin previously served as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director, and Director of the Department of Electronic Engineering, Deputy Dean of the School of Information Science and Technology, Director of the Office of Human Resources, Director of the Office of Talent Recruitment and Development, Assistant to the President, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Tsinghua University. He became a Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Executive Vice President of the University in October 2018, and was appointed as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the University in February 2022. His research interest covers signal and information processing. Wang Xiqin presides over the overall administration of the university and also takes charge of alumni work.
